Drakenberg/Sjölin
Andrea Drakenberg and Ellen Sjölin met in 2000 when they where living and working in New York City. They both loved the city pulse but also discovered a shared longing for the scandinavian natures untouched elegance. It was not until many years later, in 2009 when Drakenberg had a degree in silversmithing and jewelry design at Konstfack University College of Arts, Crafts and Design and Sjölin a degree in economics at Linköping University, that they decided to capture that nordic essence and make it wearable.
The collection is entirely made in 925 silver and oxidized silver to reflect the scandinavian seasons of light and darkness. Objects from the nordic natures own cast like leafs, pines from alder trees, broken pods and stones shapes the timeless design that DRAKENBERG SJÖLIN creates. The jewelleries breathe both strength and an elegant fragility, inspired by swedish nature.
DRAKENBERG SJÖLIN's signature has become the elaborate details and versitility of every unique jewelry. The studs and chains are designed for comfort and simplicity, yet they create a delicate balance of the jewelleries expression. The jewelleries enunciate both a strong and personal yet an elegant and classical look depending on the bearers styling of choice
